How many exercise points are there in carpet scrubbing?

Question:

Oh my, makes me really want to have kids soon… LOL… j/k.  :)  Cute story, Kate. — ~Kristin O~ 272/239.4/172

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Had a couple of disasters today… My son decided to decorate the house with soup at lunch time! Splattered the sofa, both the quilts on it and both throws, the floor (majorly!), and himself!  Luckily the soup wasn’t hot enough to scald, but after DH cleared the lumps and we shoved the quilts in the washer, I then spent 2 hours I SHOULD have spent in the sewing room scrubbing soup out of the carpet!  I count myself lucky that it didn’t hit the ceiling… Why do boys do this on days you have guests coming for supper?  AKK! Some days one boy is more bother than both cats! Trouble was that just as we were finishing the evening off nicely, Cornflake (the big stupid cat) threw up his dinner all over an as yet unscrubbed bit of carpet!  So there I was, on my knees again, scrubbing another square yard… I KNOW my living room carpet is in dire need of a good scrub all over (we live in a mid terrace house, and the lawn mower and everything have to come through the living room to get to the front garden.  It gets mucky.  Life is like that.), but I did NOT want to have to do it today! I was thinking some time in May would be good, when the weather has warmed up! I think I may just buy half a pint of cream to throw down tomorrow, just to get the third disaster over with!  ;) I am NOT loading the dishwasher tonight!  Someone Else can do that! — Kate  XXXXXX Lady Catherine, Wardrobe Mistress of the Chocolate Buttons http://www.diceyhome.free-online.co.uk Click on Kate’s Pages and explore!

I am not afraid of very many things, grew up on a farm part time, and all that goes with that, but snakes are not a thing I cope with rationally, the bird presents bunny legs and the like don’t bother me but the snake combined with that horrid child was enough to convince me they need to be inside.  If I lived near my mother we might let them go out again, Lee

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – mine are all indoors and get all shots but this was something that the vet said was just going around, no clue how they got it but it was awful. That hunter stuff went on until the spawn of Jeffery dommer moved in and they brought me a snake for a present in the same week, now we are all indoors, all the time, Lee No snakes here, but they do bring in birds , dead and alive, rabbits, ditto: mice, voles, even the occasional rat (NOT in the house!  They don’t attempt to eat them, and just drop them on the grass!).  We usually find the remains of a post midnight take-away bunny the morning after! — Kate  XXXXXX Lady Catherine, Wardrobe Mistress of the Chocolate Buttons http://www.diceyhome.free-online.co.uk Click on Kate’s Pages and explore!

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I so relate, I have five cats and no children but they all five got cat-flu at the same time this year, it was positively gruesome, five cats is five mouths and five "other ends" we spent three days cleaning carpet about about ever ten minutes Ours are ‘in and out’ cats, and get anual shots against flue, enteritus and leukemia, so we never worry about those.  They are more likely to grue&poo due to eating something they shouldn’t, as they are both mighty hunters, and have been known to eat bunnies! I suspect furr balls on this occasion! — Kate  XXXXXX Lady Catherine, Wardrobe Mistress of the Chocolate Buttons http://www.diceyhome.free-online.co.uk Click on Kate’s Pages and explore!

Maybe you could do an exquisite dress for free for the daughter of someone who could do the floor for you :-) . I looked at your website, your projects are quite good! Julie

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – oh yuck!  I’m sorry you had to deal with that today. Can you replace your carpet with a laminate floor? It would be easier to clean. Julie I’d love to, but the floor is uneven and needs flattening first, so this would be an ouch expensive project!  I need to do quite a few more wedding dresses first! — Kate  XXXXXX Lady Catherine, Wardrobe Mistress of the Chocolate Buttons http://www.diceyhome.free-online.co.uk Click on Kate’s Pages and explore!
